About Hume Employment Service Limited

Hume Employment Service Limited (HESL) is a community based not for profit organisation that delivers employment and pre-employment programmes in Victoria and New South Wales. HESL was initially established in 1986 under a state funding programme to assist people with intellectual disabilities to find and maintain employment.

Since then HESL has delivered a number of employment and pre-employment programmes to people who face a range of barriers to employment. HESL is now funded federally through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). Current programmes include:

• Disability Employment Network (DEN)

• Personal Support Programme (PSP)

• Community Work Coordinator (CWC) programme which manages

  •  Work for the Dole  (WfD) Programme

  • Community Work Programme (CWP)

  • Drought Force Programme

Since 1986 HESL has maintained accreditation as a Quality Endorsed Company (QEC 11664), and in 2003 obtained Disability Support Certification (DSC 20034). HESL management and staff remain committed to maintaining and improving our business practices and processes to ensure that all clients and participants of programmes receive quality service and assistance.
